Government Relations Analyst
The Association of Washington Cities (AWC) is a private, non-profit, non-partisan organization, which provides a wide array of legislative, training, and other services to all cities and towns in the state of Washington. AWC is recruiting for the position of Government Relations Analyst. The position works as a member of AWC Government Relations team to implement AWC’s advocacy strategy. This position provides policy research, analysis, and technical assistance on issue areas that include municipal finance, state budget, social and human services.
The successful candidate will have experience and skills necessary to conduct research and analysis on proposed legislation and rule-making affecting cities and towns. City government experience and/or state government experience is preferred. This position requires excellent analytical, writing, and editing skills. Bachelor’s degree in political science, public administration, finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
