This is a full-time overtime-exempt position on the Olympia campus of The Evergreen State College. This position is an “at-will” appointment, exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules and the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime requirements.
Under administrative direction, the Associate Dean for Library Operations manages daily operations of the Library, assuring effective, efficient general services and responsive support of the instructional role of the larger organization. This position manages the operational and service side of the library, working collaboratively with the instructional team within an alternative interdisciplinary liberal arts environment. It provides general oversight of circulation, interlibrary loan, collection care and management, archives, technical services, security and building safety. This position provides personnel and budget oversight, assists the Dean in identifying and planning strategic initiatives consonant with instructional agendas, maintains awareness of contemporary trends in information technology, ADA compliance and academic librarianship generally, and represents the Library in College governance and professional organizations.
Salary and Benefits: $5,876 – $6,395 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
