Financial Grant Specialist I
Applicants for all positions will be required to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 during the hiring process. Valid medical or religious exemptions will be considered, but serial COVID-19 testing will be required to maintain employment.
Reviews budget, expense reporting, and invoices for grants and contracts. Performs reconciliations and analysis of associated accounting records.
Qualifications
Education: Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
Required Experience: Two years' experience in bookkeeping and general ledger transactions.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required or Preferred: Knowledge of basic Accounting principles and general ledger transactions. In-depth knowledge of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Uniform Guidance requirements. Knowledge of accounting procedures related to grants. Ability to work with detailed data and maintain accurate records. Ability to prioritize work and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously. Strong organization skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to exercise independent judgement and solid decision making. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate proficiency with Excel. Basic proficiency with a variety of computer programs including Microsoft Outlook and Word.
