Member Services Coordinator
Position Announcement by Washington Fire Commissioners Association: Member Services Coordinator for state-wide association. Full time, permanent position (Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5 pm). Washington Fire Commissioners Association seeks friendly, professional team member to provide outstanding services to its membership.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and office practices.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Experience/training using desktop publishing programs (e.g., Publisher, InDesign).
- Skilled in the application of social media platforms.
- Possess excellent communication skills and command of the English language: writing, spelling, proofreading, grammar, speaking, keyboarding (minimum 50 word per minute required).
- Ability to draft, format and edit documents with minimal direct supervision is imperative.
- Well organized, flexible, strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work as a team member and serve as backup to other team members.
- Ability to handle competing priorities, complete tasks on time, work independently, anticipate demands and take initiative.
- Pick up, process and take mail to post office (must have automobile).
- Schedule meetings, events and make travel arrangements.
- Exhibit a professional and positive attitude when interacting with members, staff and others.
- Possess an excellent work ethic that includes punctuality, reliability and accountability.
- High School Diploma or general educational development; Associate's degree or higher desirable.
- Experience using standard office and other equipment (copier, printer, multi-line telephone systems, AV equipment).
- Ability to lift and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, personal, professional, and ethical conduct.
- Occasionally work in excess of 40 hours per week, which may include evening and weekend workshops, meetings and conferences.
- Occasionally travel throughout the state which may include overnight stays, as required, while performing the duties of this position.
Salary & Benefits:
- Annual Salary Range is $40,000 - $45,000 (depending on qualifications and experience).
