Psychologist - SCSD - Psychiatry SCSD Program

Upstate Medical University is looking for a psychologist to join their dynamic team of expert professionals.

The mission of SUNY Upstate Medical University is to improve the health of the communities we serve through education, biomedical research, and health care. This goes beyond our downtown campus with all our clinics and offices that provide patient care throughout the greater Syracuse area. As we continue to grow, we are happy to share that we are now working directly with the Syracuse City School District to support the mental health needs of the diverse student population and their families. In this new role you will be asked to do the following:

  • Provide direct patient care to children, adolescents, and families in the Syracuse City School District
  • Provide comprehensive care through assessment, psychotherapy with individuals, families, and groups, and referral to outside services
  • Assess the clinical needs of students, recommend, and coordination of care with school and outside providers
  • Act as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes clinical social workers, nurse practitioners, psychologists, and trainees

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. and NYS license (or eligible) Psychologist
  • If currently unlicensed, a limited permit is required
  • License must be received within 1 year of employment
