Job Description:

The State University of New York System Administration's Office of Opportunity Programs is seeking a Communications, Marketing Coordinator and Campus Liaison. The candidate will provide guidance and support for day-to-day operations, enrollment/admissions planning, summer programs and fiscal guidance to Equal Opportunity Programs (EOP) at SUNY's Comprehensive Colleges. In addition, the successful candidate will provide strategic guidance and project management for marketing and social media initiatives for the program, write draft external and internal communications about EOP as well as aid in developing advocacy plans.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison to EOP directors, supervisors, and campus staff at SUNY Comprehensive Colleges to strengthen and develop programs, services and activities that promote access, completion, and success for EOP students;
  • Assist with fiscal management, enrollment management, and interpretation of EOP guidelines to EOP Directors and staff at SUNY Comprehensive Colleges;
  • Direct initiatives related to special projects and day-to-day operations within the Office of Opportunity Programs;
  • Provide strategic guidance and execute all marketing materials for the Educational Opportunity Program;
  • Provide strategic planning and calendaring for social media and marketing needs for the Educational Opportunity Program;
  • Write internal and external communication about EOP for a variety of opportunities.
  • The incumbent may occasionally be required to work evenings or weekends and may occasionally be required to travel.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education Administration or a related field
  • Five years of experience in the provision of education, training, or other services to disadvantaged, at risk or underrepresented populations
  • Exceptional writing, editing and verbal communications
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and web content
  • Experience with developing social media plans
  • Marketing experience with proven results
  • Experience with web design

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in higher education and the implementation of programs, policies, and procedures
  • Master's Degree in Education Administration or a related field

Additional Information:

Salary is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, training, and certifications. The range for this position is $73,000-$84,000.
