Suicide Prevention Program Manager
The Skokomish Indian Tribe is seeking to hire a Suicide Prevention Program Manager. The incumbent will Manage the programmatic elements of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMSHA)-funded Native Connections/Tribal Behavioral Health Program. In coordination with the Health Director and Behavioral Health Program Staff, facilitates community discussion and input toward developing community-based protocols to respond to youth mental health trauma, including suicidal ideation. This is a full-time, 5-year cooperative agreement-funded position in the Health Services Department. This position is a managerial, facilitation, outreach and collaborative client service position with a focus on 10-24-year-old youth and young adults in the community; especially those who have experienced trauma, substance abuse, suicidal ideation and other barriers to wellness. Flexible hours may be required. Participate in the development, implementation and facilitation of suicide prevention as part of community prevention/education programs. In coordination with Health staff, work with funding agency to maintain planning and protocol documents; including a community system analysis, a community readiness assessment, and a strategic action plan. Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Welfare or related field. Knowledge of the Skokomish Community. $28.00-$30.00 hourly closes 04/08/2019.
