Hatchery ManagerSkokomish Indian Tribe
The individual oversees all aspects of the Skokomish Tribe’s Enetai hatchery and Quilcene Bay net pen. The purpose of this position is to direct hatchery operations in a manner that ensures maximum production, while meeting or exceeding established quality standards. This position is regular and full time. The position reports to the Deputy Director and will supervise the hatchery technician and seasonal hatchery workers. Associate degree in Fisheries Technology or related field and three years’ experience working in fish hatcheries preferably with at least one year of leadership experience or a Bachelor’s degree in fisheries or related field and one-year pertinent work experience. Thorough knowledge of the salmon life cycle, familiarity with salmon species, and the ability to detect and identify fish disease.
