Adult Protective Advocate
The Skokomish Indian Tribe is seeking to hire for an Adult Protective Advocate. The Adult Protective Advocate is responsible for intervening, responding to, and evaluating situations involving adult abuse, neglect, or exploitation; to institute corrective action and arrange for social services for clients. Works independently and consistently exercises discretion and sound judgment in conducting investigations and providing protective
advocacy for victims of abuse, neglect and exploitation of elderly individuals, as well as people with disabilities (ages 18 and older) and their families.
Maintains up-to-date and accurate client files and databases, as required by program and grant policies and procedures, professional standards, and external requirements of all relevant regulatory and/or licensing bodies Collaborates with community-based organizations to provide resources to meet the resource needs of clients; continuously remains informed regarding new and updated services available by community resources and their
appropriate utilization. Bachelor’s in Sociology, Psychology, Education or related field plus a minimum of two years of related professional experience (required). Demonstrated experience providing solid investigation of referrals, crisis intervention and advocacy as well as performing needs assessment for Adult Protection.
