Family Resource Specialist

Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Family Resource Specialist in the Eastern Shore Child Care Resource Center. This vacancy is for the following location: Queen Anne’s County at the Eastern Shore Higher Education Center on Chesapeake Campus.

Primary Job Duties: Establish a system of support for families and caregivers of children birth to 12 years old by identifying and accessing parent education opportunities, quality child care, and navigating other programs. Maintain records and report as required.

Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field. 3-5 years of experience.

Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral & written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work well under pressure, independently, and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.

Preferred Qualifications:  Experience in family service coordination. Ability to communicate effectively with childcare community. Foreign language ability preferred.

This is a full-time exempt long term contractual (contingent II) position with a limited benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
