We are hiring a Critical Repairs Program Manager. This role works under the supervision of the Board of Directors to execute site inspections for applicants requesting services from Rebuilding Together Thurston County. As critical repairs are identified, the Program Manager will perform these repairs or engage qualified contractors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct initial home assessments and develop scopes of work and budgets for projects.
Perform critical repairs and/or modifications, as identified during home assessment. Common repairs/modifications include: floor repair and replacement; stair and deck repair/replacement; plumbing work; grab bar installation and other ADA modifications such as wheelchair ramps; and basic home maintenance/repairs.
Obtain appropriate building supplies and materials, as necessary for critical repairs/modifications.
Coordinate bid solicitation and/or trade professionals for advanced critical repairs, when necessary.
Communicate with contractors, homeowners, and volunteer leaders to ensure: (1) projects are on track; (2) the necessary paperwork is completed for contract reporting; (3) ensure project completion and quality.
Coordinate building and other permit processes, as needed, to complete repairs and communicate with inspectors at the completion of projects.
Complete a minimum of two (2) critical repair projects per month.
QUALIFICATIONS
Construction experience, skills and knowledge are required.
Ability to work with older adults, volunteers, community groups and sponsors.
Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
Must possess strong communication skills as well as organizational, planning and outreach skills.
Ability to assess and describe home repair needs.
Must be willing to occasionally perform work on weekends to accommodate clients or volunteers.
Knowledge of Thurston County and local construction professionals and material suppliers helpful.
Valid Washington drivers license and dependable vehicle.
