If these attributes of a career ring true to you, you might just be the next Director of Panhandle 4-H Camp. For more than 70 years, schools, businesses, churches, civic groups, community leaders and families have been creating memories at Panhandle Lake. Our nearly 500-acre, year-round, indoor-outdoor facility is fully equipped for events of any size and is in need of its next leader who will help it grow and flourish for the next 70 years and beyond. We are looking for an individual who is well versed in all areas of an office operation, has people skills to build relationship with staff and user groups of the camp, can successfully build and execute a business plan, develop and operate a budget, market the camp to new users and help continue the legacy of Panhandle.
The next Director of Panhandle 4-H Camp will have the following Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and leadership to a current staff of 2
- Manage the facility including risk management and daily operations
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with new and existing camp visitors, user groups and the community
- Maintains records, manages rental activities and prepares appropriate reports for the board to review
- Monitor monthly financial reports and ensure that revenue targets are met and expenses are controlled
- Develop and implement a solid strategic business, marketing and sales plan
- Assist with and develop special events to promote the camp
- Work with the board of directors and staff to improve the quality of the camp and the quality of the user experience
- Ensure all visitors and user groups have followed payment procedures and are satisfied with their experience at camp
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate all personnel
- Ensure staff follow all policies and procedures
Experience:
- General office experience
- Business plan development and execution
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Professional phone etiquette
- Extraordinary customer relations including follow up with customers post camp visit
- Interpersonal skills including active listening
- Marketing, sales and public relations
- Incredible time management skills
- Supervisory experience
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years' experience in business or non-profit management
Salary range starting at $45,000 + (DOE)
