Are you interested in teaching high school students’ industry standard skills preparing them for the state barbering exam?
Are you a WA licensed barbering instructor (or willing to become licensed) looking for work that gives you most weekends, evenings, and holidays off?

If so, New Market may be the right fit for you. New Market Skills Center is seeking a qualified barbering instructor to provide instructional services for our high school barbering students beginning February 2025.

New Market is a part of the state public school system providing career and technical training to high school juniors and seniors from a consortium of local school districts in Thurston, Lewis, Mason, and Grays Harbor Counties.

The successful respondent(s) (the “Contractor”) will use industry-aligned curriculum supplied by New Market to provide engaging learning experiences supporting the skills center’s mission and goal of helping barbering students earn their state barbering license. The New Market School of Cosmetology and Barbering is located solely at New Market Skills Center in Tumwater, WA.
