Intercity Transit is currently recruiting the regular full time position of "Vehicle Detailer." Work hours may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The selected candidate must be able to work within this non-traditional schedule. This position is classified as safety-sensitive under Intercity Transit's Drug and Alcohol Policy and is included in the random drug and alcohol testing program. This is a unionized position (International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers) with excellent benefits, including: health insurance, PERS and deferred comp retirement plans, and paid sick and vacation leave. Hiring wage is $18.77 hourly.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Routine cleaning of bus, van, and automobile interiors and exteriors.
- Cleaning work areas.
- Preparing cleaning materials.
- Responding to urgent cleaning needs of on-road vehicles.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) desirable.
- One (1) year experience in commercial car wash, detailing, janitorial, custodial, or related experience desirable; combination of education and related experience may be considered.
- Must be able and willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver's License; must maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment.
- Must be willing to submit to a post-job-offer employment-related physical examination to include a drug screen, as well as a criminal background investigation, the results of which must meet the agency's hiring criteria.
