Responsible for a wide variety of human resources related activities and programs in an organization of approximately 85 employees. Activities include recruitment and selection, employee benefits, administration of various state and federal mandates, employee and labor relations activities, classification, compensation, human resources policies and procedures, HR Information Systems, and related duties that may be assigned. This position reports to the Administrative Services Manager and works closely with department heads and other members of the Administration Department.
Scope of Responsibility -
Manages benefit enrollment, including monitoring employee status relative to benefits in compliance with agency policies and procedures. Researches, educates, tracks and ensures eligibility for benefits.
Provides new employee orientations and employee benefit updates. Assists employees with claims processing and in the resolution of changes with benefits representatives. Coordinates COBRA benefits for eligible employees.
Administers the compensation/classification program. Conducts job analysis and reasonable accommodation analysis as necessary. Prepares and revises job descriptions. Maintains relevant salary data.
Develops, supports and oversees the performance management system. Coaches managers, supervisors and employees in the relevancy of an appropriate performance management system.
Oversees training programs for non-represented personnel and generalist training for all employees. Performs training classes and reviews curriculum to coordinate new opportunities for training in all departments.
