Assistant Director Equal Opportunity Programs – 533969

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Equal Opportunity provides support to the Director of Equal Opportunity and will assist with the daily operations of the Office of Equal Opportunity in efforts to ensure fair treatment for all faculty and staff at all points of the employee life cycle (talent attraction, onboarding, development, engagement, compensation, and retention).

  • Works collaboratively to collect, track and document University-wide efforts to comply with annual Affirmative Action Plan (AAP). Oversees the collection of data for progress and annual reports to federal and state agencies regarding the obligations of the University as a federal contractor, along with supporting documents that illustrate implementation and outcomes. 
  • Oversees the development, implementation and analysis of the University climate study to monitor progress towards Affirmative Action goals (AAG), best practices and good faith efforts to ensure equal opportunity. 
  • Executes job pool certifications to ensure adherence to good faith efforts in attracting qualified candidates. 
  • Assists in developing, maintaining, and stewarding data and reporting mechanisms to track the effectiveness of University programs and initiatives around access and compliance, and equal opportunity, making recommendations for improvements as needed. 
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on equal employment topics, providing support to university community to assist in decision-making processes related to equal opportunity and good faith efforts. 
  • Assists in the development and execution of training programs, initiatives, and events to support students, faculty, staff, and University community in efforts towards compliance with AAP and good faith efforts, as well as strategic retention efforts. 
  • Works with the Director of EO along with access and compliance officers, to review and develop programs and activities to foster a safe campus for university community. 
  • Serves as a resource for departments in fielding concerns related to equal opportunity. 
  • Supports the supervision of professional staff and students. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources or EEO practices OR Master's degree in related field and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources or EEO practices.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working collaboratively across teams. 
  • Project management experience. 
  • Experience with EEOC and OFCCP laws and regulations. 
  • Proven experience directing the development of workforce analytics metrics, and reporting tools.

Salary: $85,000-$90,000

End time: 5:00 PM
