Position Purpose
The Evergreen State College is committed to enriching the learning experience for all students by cultivating a
diverse and inclusive community. Reporting to the Director of First Peoples Multicultural, Trans, and Queer
Services (First Peoples), this position provides outreach and culturally relevant support to undocumented
students, students with DACA, and students from mixed status families. This position seeks to increase these
students’ success and retention through advising on academic, personal, and career matters and by connecting
students to the college’s programs and retention services as well as to local resources. During the 2022 fall
quarter, this position will spend up to 12 hours per week aiding Evergreen in hosting the 20th annual Latinx
Youth Summit by coordinating with the Latinx Youth Summit Planning committee, supporting student workers,
and collaborating with the Hispanic Round Table.
This is a half-time (20 hour per week), overtime-eligible project position on the Olympia Campus of The
Evergreen State College. The project position is funded through August 31, 2023.
Salary and Benefits: $1,853.00 – $2,075.50 per month of half-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick
and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and
a tuition waiver program.
