This is a part-time, overtime eligible position at The Evergreen State College Tacoma campus location. This position works .8 FTE September through June and .5 FTE July and August. During the academic year, this position works 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM with a two hour lunch break. During the summer, the position works 20 hours per week with assigned schedule to be determined. Additional evening or weekend hours may also be required throughout the year.
Position Purpose
Under general supervision of the Managing Director, this position coordinates all activities of the media laboratory operation for the Tacoma program, including scheduling of media equipment and materials, setup, operation and maintenance of equipment, and distribution and acquisition of media materials. This position also assists and trains students, faculty and staff in the use of audio-visual equipment to enhance teaching and learning campus-wide while coordinating with the Olympia campus for the provision of information technology curricular support. The person in this position must have a broad background in media and technology that supports varied curricular purposes. The person in this position works directly with Managing Director, faculty, and staff in identifying and facilitating media related system, service and support needs. This position collaborates closely with Computing and Communications and Library/Media Services to arrange for lab maintenance and upgrades, hardware and software troubleshooting, repair and replacement; and other technology support and training needs.
Salary Range
Minimum: $1,960 at .8 FTE (September through June) and $1,225 at .5 FTE (July and August)
Maximum: $2,587.20 at .8 FTE (September through June) and $1,617 at .5 FTE (July and August)
