Position Purpose
This position is responsible for the overall administration of the Longhouse Education and Cultural Center, a public service center of The Evergreen State College (Evergreen), and its programs.
This position works collaboratively with the college’s senior leadership, the faculty, a Native American advisory board, and with tribal communities to design, fund, develop, and implement Native American public service programs under the auspices of the Longhouse. In collaboration with the faculty, staff, and students of the Native American programs, Evergreen administration and tribal leadership, this position also provides leadership to the various on-and off-campus Native American public service initiatives. The position reports to the Vice President of Indigenous Arts and Education.
This is a full-time, overtime-exempt, grant-funded project position with the Longhouse Education and Cultural Center on the Olympia campus of The Evergreen State College. This position is funded through June 30, 2021 and may be extended depending on continued grant funding. This is an “at-will” appointment, exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules and the Fair Labor Standards Act overtime requirements.
Salary and Benefits: $4,858 - $6,024 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
