Advancement Finance Manager
Position Purpose
Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, this position is responsible for budget, finance, and
compliance for the Advancement division and provides extensive leadership for the fiscal operations of The
Evergreen State College Foundation. This position oversees gift records, fund management, and budget for the
division and the Foundation; develops and monitors the Advancement operating budget and foundation annual
budget; manages all foundation budget accounts; and facilitates divisional and institution short- and long-term
financial planning.
This position sets the tone for rigorous fiscal management to inspire trust in Evergreen’s donors and ensure the
fiscal resources of The Evergreen State College Foundation are deployed responsibly and effectively. The
incumbent plays a key role in supporting Advancement’s goals to increase revenue and develop life-long
relationships with alumni and supporters. This position recruits, hires, trains, and supervises the Advancement
fiscal staff.
This is a full-time, overtime exempt position in Advancement on the Olympia Campus of The Evergreen State
College. This position is an “at-will” appointment, exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules and the Fair
Labor Standards Act overtime requirements.
Salary and Benefits: $5,503 – $7,155 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and
vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a
tuition waiver program.
