Academic and Career Advisor

Position Purpose 

This position reports to the Director of Academic and Career Advising and helps students understand Evergreen's curriculum, develop an academic plan, and choose programs and courses to explore interests and attain their goals. The incumbent supports students in Olympia and Tacoma in developing skills for college success, makes referrals to college resources and support services as necessary, assists students in exploring and preparing for careers or post-baccalaureate education, supports engagement in experiential and service learning opportunities including internships, and assists students in understanding Evergreen policies and procedures. This position also has responsibility for coordination of events and programs that support the advising process and presentation of advising-related workshops as needed.

This is a full-time, overtime eligible position in Academic and Career Advising on the Olympia Campus of The Evergreen State College. This position is exempt from Washington State Civil Service rules.

Salary and Benefits: $4,447 per month of full-time work + excellent benefits including paid sick and vacation leave; paid campus holidays; a generous medical, dental, life, and disability insurance package; and a tuition waiver program.
