Community Action Council for Lexington-Fayette, Bourbon, Harrison and Nicholas Counties is currently accepting applications for the position of Accounting Coordinator. The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for processing accounts payables, leases, maintenance agreements, bond issues, contracts and rents, and approves invoices up to $1,000. The position is responsible for reconciling sub ledgers to the general ledger, maintaining cash requirement schedules and accounts payable analysis. Performs general ledger posting and handles escalated vendor calls. Maintains client loan funds, reconcile Council bank statements, maintain designated vendor files, Council credit cards and petty cash. Prepares and submits federal, state and local payroll taxes. The standard operating hours are 8:30 a.m.– 5:00 p.m.; however, must be flexible to meet program needs.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business field is required. Must have three (3) years of computerized accounting experience. Experience may be substituted for education. Must be well organized, able to prioritize, keep accurate, up-to-date records and be able to meet deadlines. Must have reliable transportation, a valid Kentucky driver’s license, and must provide proof of insurability.
Salary: $16.39 - $18.03 (plus excellent benefits)10% salary differential for bilingual applicants (English/Spanish)
