The Association of Washington Cities is recruiting for a Retro Claims Coordinator. This position assists members of the AWC Workers’ Comp Retro Program in managing complex to technically difficult workers’ compensation claims and to confirm benefits due with the State Department of Labor & Industries. The successful candidate will have three years’ experience in claims management, extensive knowledge of advance workers’ compensation claims administration or adjudication, state and federal statues/regulations/codes and general insurance and risk management practices and principles. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for some or all of the educational requirements. AWC is a private, non-profit, non-partisan organization, which provides a wide array of legislative, training, and other services to all cities and towns in the state of Washington.
