Legislative Policy Analyst
The Association of Washington Cities (AWC) is recruiting for a Legislative Policy Analyst to join the AWC Government Relations team. This position provides policy analysis on a range of issues, primarily economic development, energy, environment, housing, human services, infrastructure, land use, telecommunications, transportation, and water. The Analyst provides clear and concise analysis and information, and supports execution of AWC’s advocacy strategy on behalf of all cities and towns.
The successful candidate will have experience and skills necessary to conduct research and analysis on proposed legislation and rule-making affecting cities and towns. City government, state agency, and/or legislative experience is preferred. This position requires excellent analytical, writing, and editing skills. Bachelor’s degree in political science, public administration, or an issue-related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
